My "Merry Mini Christmas" in a Gift Box!

BEFORE:
I built this out of foam core about 2 years ago..

AFTER:
TADA!  finally done.
A Christmas room with a light.
First bow I ever made!

Christmas gift I made

A group of ladies I meet with in a miniature group had a a Christmas Party. We each brought a gift  to exchange and this was what I made for the group. I made the plate from scrapebook paper, cookies are punchd out of fun foam, painted & glitter and mug was filled with a mixture of glue and paint, dried a few days then topped off the tiny styrofaom balls for marshmellos. I printed two lists one for Santa or one for mom and dad. I also imcluded 2 stocking stickers with furry tops. The lace doilie is a Martha Steward sticker and then glued it all down on a place mat.

It is a little shaky but hope you enjoy the warm cozy fire!!
I hope to do another one but in low light it was hard to get it right

It's wallpapered and carpeted. I used scrapbook paper.
I have a top cover for it's but it's not on  until
 I put will put some minis inside.  I have decide what and how but I'm  busy with real life things going on ..stay tuned!!

we were supposed to put a floor at the bottom of the frame extending outward from the frame but I wanted more room. So here's the beginning stages.

My doll house re-do!!

20 years ago I had this built for me and I got the inside done but not everything on the outside. I needed the roof shingled...I only started the shingles 2 years ago.. see it done below. I am a bit slow, huh? It is shelf style so no real windows but it is electrified! Lot of the light connections are working well so I may do something else this time.



Needs all new wallpaper!



No wallpaper all stripped off ugly!!





I got all the shingles on now!!!

A best friend came by to help me!!

You know you have a best friend when she will do all this for you!
We worked on moving the bins into a closet where the doll house was
and lable most everything for now...A BIG thank you to Chery Lee!!

dresser redo.. new update

well I am not really happy how it turned out I had to resand the top and front top drawer. It was not as I hoped. I wanted a nice smooth finish. It's ok but it's only to hold my doll house on top and fill the drawers with minis.
I have to do the knobs and right now I am caught up with other things.
Summer sure can be busy. well, until then...no pics yet

Update: dresser repainted

I start to repaint my dresser now that the weather is cooler.
Don't be surprized if it looks almost the same.
I loved the color it had but needed new.. paint.

June 25th Well, it coming along..need a litle more sanding the top is bubbled up
a little. I was hoping for a nice smooth finish..shouldn't have used the foam roller!!

My real life project

I bought this for $20.00 at a yard sale. I want to display my dollhouse on it when it gets a fresh coat of paint. It had a few rough places, a few scrapes but it's real wood. It needs a coat of fresh paint. I like the color it has but we'll see what I do with it....

Well, it's not much different. I did like the original color but it's freshly painted and nice white knobs! My doll house sits on top in full display but it's going into rehab now so I am not showing it.
