My winter/Christmas porch!

My winter Christmas porch with lights on the top and tree.
I don't know why the snow looks yellow it 's white with sparkles!!

Some trees I did I just love decorating them!!
The one in the middle has a dome from a broken clock  (it's not on because of the glare)
it  lights ups with white lights.
I hid the battery box under it.  The green in the back has red lights.
I have a multi light pack now I need to find another tree for that one.

Candles from pencil eraser tops & how it was made

We made theses in our group yesterday but I only got a picture
of mine because I forgot my camera!
Click on the pic to see it larger!
They were rolled in paint, used a tiny branch from the died flowers
for the wick and a tiny round mirror on the bottom for the bases but one base
was from a plastic creamer cup bottom.
it was so much fun! My friend Yvonne helped me a little to get more volume
 in the flower arrangement.
here's a picture of the pencil and top

here's how to use  the cap for a votive candle
which I have not done yet!
Just cut it a bit shorter to sit inside, paint it or not can glaze it
with a mat or gloss clear varnish then add a wick from a tiny stem from died flowers
and place on a base if you desire! I got 10 in a pack for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree store.

A group project

We, a small group of  5 ladies decided to make a living room from a picture but we can make it how we want it, one window 2 windows, no windows...first we all get a box, wall paper it, add a chair and a fireplace and a rug or carpet the rest of the items we would swap to fill it.
Here's mine!
I made the candle sticks for the group (but I made mine with globes) a  magazines and supplied a newspaper,
Wanita made each of us a crocheted afghan to the color requested,
Yvonne  made each of us flower arrangement and a pillow for our chair/ colored requested , and Cheryl P. made us a small coffee table, and
Sue  gave us a rug not shown here, I will save if for another  project and then
Hannah promised us a hand drawn colored pencil picture of our choice but she was sick and didn't get to the meeting.
I originally had a purple theme colors but didn't like how it looked with the blue jean chairt...so back to finding another box... The one I really like!
You can see the before and after pics ..to see up close, click on the pic.
When we all get ours all completed I will post them all on my "Friends Through Miniatures Blog". You can visit the page look to the right on my blog near the top and see the invite to visit us!

I miniaturized. It's Yvonne's new book

" Faith Filled Family Crafts" on the coffee table
and a news paper on the chair.

I made a new top on fire place to be a corner fit.
here's the candles. I used globes for mine and the

Little girl's dress tut

Little dresses my friend Cheryl ( left side) and I ( right side) made

2 Cute kiddie pools!

I was playing around with some girl's bracelets and made 2 one smaller and one
has a clear plastic inset between the rings, I got that idea from Tanya who has a
mini yahoo group (ty-nee-stuff)  one has glitter in the plastic the other one is plain.
I used scrapbook paper for the bottom. Looks like rippled water.

A new beach scene!!

I love playing with the mini beaches, doing different scenes... here's a beach with an old lighthouse in Cap Cod (imagine with me )     The background is from a calendar...

What a beautiful day at the beach!!!

Her friend left to go get some eats!!
Tried a new beach chair in this one and changed it around.

something has changed  below can you spot the difference?

see below...

(Now they are in Florida with palm trees!!! )

Celebrating Summer Time !!

Hello, I have been trying to work on a few projects ..A little Red Kitchen with a reto touch and a 50's Diner. Also my dollhouse is out for a remodel by  my best friend.  I got a peek of it last week and it's looking great! I can't wait to get it and post the before and after pictures!
Meanwhile here's two mini scenes I just made today  "Celebrating Summer Time!! " My "water" is a page taken from a tropical calendar from the Dollar Store, my seashell I bought when I was in Florida.  I saw something like this on "Pinterest" so I had to try a scene in a seashell!! click on the pic to see more details wish I had noticed the castle flags were so bent over..oh well it was really windy on the beach!!!
Over view I used a clay pot saucer for this.

Let's build a sand castle!!!

Off for a quick swim!!

another view..

from the other side

The shell is about 4" across

Both mini beaches together

See the water up close..  it's perfect!! :)

I made a couch

The couch

I posted the chair before. Now I have the couch and chair together.
I am very happy how it all worked out I even made an ottoman.
The only thing I changed on the seats was the amount
of stuffing on the cushions and I did not do any piping.
The first time I made the chair (posted) my resin people couln't sit properly.
so I reduced the "stuffing" layers to 2 instead of three layers.
The tut is for an upholster chair I  used the same patter but elongated or enlarged some
pattern  pieces it to make a couch or as some say "sofa"

This tutorial  can be found here: Kris has fantasic tuts and easy to follow!
