Here's what I made and what I used to make them.
It was a lot of fun!
Wooden dowels were used for the veggie cans.
You can find these in the Dollar Tree bottles in the nail section.
I made the spaghetti sauce (mixture of reds and brown paint and tripe thick)
and put real instant coffee in the jar too. These are what I used for the jars.
I made the peanut butter jar and salsa (shown above)
with these capacitors.
They come in different sizes found in an old VCR
or any thing you can tear apart that has electronic.
Lots of goodies in there!
I used glossy varnish found in the craft paints
for the jar to look like glass.
I used these from BJ's whole sale booklet flyer in the mail
for my labels, shiny and sharp images!
Beautiful work, Chris! Thank you for the tutorial and ideas to make them. I've never thought of using flyers for the labels and have struggled to make or find printies. Great information!

Great idea! :) I always print labels, but sometimes it doesn't look realistic... I'll try your method :)

Hi Chris! I love the results of your pantry foods! Great work all around. FYI: I was recently warned on my blog about the possibility of capacitors potentially leaking acid, so I am passing the information on. Needs further investigation I think but for now, I love what you have done! :))
